i would like to install battery on my comp to use with ableton but which one do i choose? there is like 20 listed in the search, alot of them say 'update' does this mean that they are just an update or do they include the actual stand alone program??

update as the name implies means you also need the full installation previous to the update, full installation includes the drum libraries

updates may also have a reg key to bypass the original installation, so check the latest version

and the library content may also be a separate download

as well as makeing your own kits whats fun,

also make sure you download Native.Instruments.Battery.4.Factory.Library.v1.0.1.Update so you avoid some v1.0.0 bugs

i've been running Native.Instruments.Battery.4.v4.1.4.Update for quite some time on Ableton 9.14 - 9.17 with no problems


im guessing you will only need to download these two packs , both include New installation and regTool like SirSillySausage mentioned from what i saw in the packages and its noticed in nfo you can install these without any previous versions
