    @Whalemusic - Oh NO! They are sooo crappily built. The keys wiggle from side to side, and the thing feels like it'll break in half! Didn't you read my advice against the alesis boards?

    Even if you stick with M-Audio, you'll probably read:
    You are just looking for another series, e.g.:

    IMHO the best synth action keyboards (I mean the keys) in the low-budget segmet are the E-MU Xboards. Novation of course is also always great, but more pricy.
    And like Army of Ninjas said, Alesis' Q series is mediocre, to say the least.

    Can anyone tell of experience with the M-Audio Axiom Pro or 'Air' boards?
    (quality, key weight, performance etc.?

    Really? Well Should I go with M-Audio if it doesn't work out? I can always return and get my money back with the great folks at amazon :)

    Just went with it because its the same price as a 49 key Keystation and im getting an extra octave so what the hell its a great deal

    So I went ahead and bought both to test each out *dont worry I will return one of them*

    Now the soft keybed on the M-Audio is great but I'm not sure If i need 61 keys or if its overkill???

    Yes the Alesis has a bit stiffer action but its a more solid design overall
