Hi guys,

I am an OSX user and I want to install Win10 to use ProTools 12HD and new lovely plugins please could someone guide me, which Win10 installation to choose for this kind of work, and maybe where to find it.

Jump here and search for "Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool". The app (portable) let you download the MS WinX from MS servers. It's legit.

On the other side, someone mentioned to use: 'MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.10.Enterprise.LTSB.x64.En-US.MSDN'
I'm on Win8.1 x64 (offline) without any problems, but thinking abt testing 'Win10 Enterprise LTSB x64 (no MSDN)'.

this LTS is non rolling and is one of the most usable versions, if you are not desperate about new features every 6 months.

Yes, I recommend Windows 10 LTSB for music production, after Windows 7.
But if you are switching because of new iLok 2 releases on sister site, then you must install windows 7 because some plugins do not run in windows 10 because of some iLok issues. For example - Softube plugins.

Just grab it and download whatever version you have a serial number for.
If you don't own any legal licenses use Pro version not Enterprise!
then use trusted tools like: KMSpico and Microsoft Toolkit.

It is intended for development uses or those who want to have the latest features and changes. It isn't for public or general consumers. Somewhat like Golder Master releases on Mac.

It won't have any effect on audio production. The core changes are already there since early versions of Win 10. Microsoft claims lower latency, better compatibility and quality.

 

Oh and let me suggest 3 nice Win 10 only apps if you have a touch device.
FL Groove (Mobile version of Image Line Groove Machine) Good for dance music
Stagelight (a new company.) It's great for having fun and learning digital production
Staffpad (Like a modern touch-based version of Finale) If you're into classical composition

 

Why in the name of reason would you use W10 for music production? I can somewhat understand people who use W10 with their DAWs because they use Internet, too, but only to run PT12 and AXX plugins, no. Rather install nice and "lite" version of Windows7 that won't have any problems with compatibility and stability of your programs and plugins. Here's the file name of the torrent you should look for:
