^ I appreciate that someone is making them so thanks very much video maker, but man you have to have patience to go through these videos. In most cases these can be condensed down to a couple minutes or less and still serve the function of communicating the same (useful) information.

imo Bitwig is the most inspiring DAW I've ever used. It's straightforward, has amazing audio editing tools (live doesn't even have a slice tool ffs), better midi than live, the devices allow for some impressive stuff. By the way, 2.2 is available on the sister site.

Yeah, but 2.2 on the sister site is not properly dealt with. It's good to demo more than the official demo would allow but it does have some limitations and many have reported beeps or "time bombs", even those with no internet connection on their machines and or without the sound content installed.

Personally I really like it but it seems buggy at times, that could be issues with the k I suppose IDK. Also, their Drum Machine is not as cool as Ableton's Drum Racks with it's built in IO section/returns making for easy saving of huge complex drum kits + that External Instrument device further expands Drum Racks. Oh, Warp Engine in Ableton is far superior to whatever Bitwig has going on in that department. It would be nice if Bitwig added similar features as well as something comparable to Simpler. There's more but these are what I'm missing the most right now. I consider Drum Racks to be the best drum machine/sampler combo there is for my needs, having tried everything else. Building and saving a complex drum machine with all the bells and whistles I'm accustomed to in Bitwig is not convenient. The lack of midi follow alone drives me nuts.

That said, again, I really do like it.

    OK
BITWIGS audio latency sucks and is unusable... no I don't want to direct monitor
This is the Downfall of Bitwig DELAY DELAY DELAY

Try a guitar through scuffham on one track and a vocal mic on another with nectar... never-mind recording it cant even monitor it without delay.

Try singing to a new track with hardly anything going on.... its terrible

I can do this though every daw out there.. just not this one

128ms same audio device settings as every daw I run
    What am I missing?

Same here, awful performance on my macbook retina 2015 , Bitwig 2.2.3.
    But here 's the thing:
As Bitwig is started, my macbook fans are soon spinning through the roof.(i have a Dell monitor via mini display port attached).
I am guessing Bitwig's GUI is too intensive for my macbook GPU.(more even cause it has to drive the Dell Monitor)

I think my macbook then begins to throttle down it's cpu, to avoid overheating.
This throttling down leads to audio glitches.
Just a theory , dunno for sure.
Would like to hear from other macbook retina users what their experiences are with Bitwig.

    Warm Regards.

I tried recording some vocals on several tracks, 4, and a mono synth. One mic> mic input - One mono synth> instrument input through an old first gen Apogee Duet Firewire through some simple effects and did not notice enough delay to be called unusable. Have you tried another amp sim or whatever? In any case, if I were you I'd take this issue over to : https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=259

I'm just interested to know if there's a fix for your issue, should I cross something similar myself.
