Fx window color is OS theming, not reaper theming. So I think fader background is also OS theming. But I don't know which OS theme parameter has an influence on fader background.

 

Didn't even know that part was OS related. No idea where you do that in windows. I'm pretty bad at this theming thing, sorry.

Edit : ah. I've managed to change the top of the fx windows. Not the inside though.

Wow. Cool man, thanks I appreciate it. So I just tried and short of the labels (probably in reaper) "frequency", "gain", etc, I get to the same point as you.
In Classic Color help on their website it says that the third column of their soft only applies to windows 7, so maybe it's one of those preferences that can make the slider change color ? In this case it's not possible.
Still I'm gonna test change every white/grey colors in reaper theme tweaker to see if one does the trick, I can see the result directly in Reaper, don't need to log off. I'll let you know if a change does the trick.

 

No. That's not gonna work. At least not with the theme tweaker. Maybe with Walter, but I've never dealt with that...

On windows the faders backgrounds are influenced by high contrast themes. So it has to work over the OS.
Even if Classic Color does not offer this parameter, it must be possible to change the fader background via a registry entry.
The question is: Which parameter is responsible?

No, I unzipped the Default_6.0.ReaperThemeZip and edited 3 png files with gimp.

I still have those labels in the eq in white. I don't see in the tweaker what matches that part. Any clue ?

Yes, these are generic surfaces.

You can't change them in the tweaker.

You have 2 possibilities:
Either you customize these surfaces with the CC_Panel or - and this is the cleanest method - you install the penumbra theme for windows. The instructions are in the info area of the theme in stash. You have the link.

I did install the penumbra theme, still have those in white. The gif of my reaper was taken after I installed it. Must have done something wrong I guess, I'm gonna try to figure things out.

 

I've made a few minor changes.

 

The API and ableton themes are cool. My rig is down so I can't remember what I had. I usually bounce between clean and analogue depending on the project.
