What's your real purpose of making and using variations in the music?

From the beginning of my entrance to the music world, I've sought some ways to make variations (rhythmically, melodically, harmonically and applying modulation to the sounds) to the musical phrases I create and make them longer by using some stuff like below pic. My only intention of doing this laborious task has been just that the users of my music don't get bored. But is it the most convincing reason from your viewpoint when you do the same work?:dunno:

That thing on the left... with the red handles... looks like it can pull a dangerous amount of vacuum. Don't hurt yourself.

I've heard that the more variation you make, the more musician you are? Is it true?:bleh:

Hell if I know:dunno: I'm not even sure why everyone wants to be a musician. "I'm a musician" is a euphemism; means a barista/dishwasher/barback. That, or unemployed & crashing on your couch. Or living off GF, but only successful musicians get to do that.

I read in one of your posts that you called yourself a noted musicologist, I really respect that. I ask this question from you or anyone that can answer it::bow::bow::bow:
How do you look at the variations and why do we need them?

I don't think it's been talked much anywhere on the web and even musical literature. Techniques for making variations immensely but its essence not. I need to know about the latter one.:dunno:
    Thank you!

I gave up guitars lessons after the instructor told me we were gonna learn the sybian mode.

now, I just play one chord with kontakt libraries, it's safer

Variations are natural outgrowth from exploration going back centuries in recorded history.

    I lied:woot:
It's just a funny word. I was talking to a crazy street lady once, she kept going on about pornologists. I asked her if she meant pornographers, she said, no, no, they're pornologists. I thought it was pretty weird, and ...here we are:yes:

    It's not the size.
    It's how you use it.

Making things bigger because it is the widely accepted norm is pop.
Doing what you and another loves is art.

This is a grand generalization on penis pumps.
All that ever really matters is it feels good.

I like having various tools at my disposal. However, you can still be a brilliant musician with just one tool.

Speaking of variations, a variation can help you to relax from the main theme, but it's always the repetitive motion that gets the work done. Too many variations and you end up with nothing.

I think the Pinkman nailed it really good.

I'm trying bro but these are very high level questions that I'm dealing with during the music making process that I must find suitable solutions, otherwise the production line will come to a standstill.:bleh:

Too much variation makes your music boring and difficult to follow--that is, to groove to. REPETITION IS GOOD! It allows you to hypnotise your listener...and put them in a trance.

A good magician makes something disappear...AND THEN BRINGS IT BACK!

Always remind your listener where they are in the song.

My problem is exactly the listeners. They can not synchronize themselves with me and are always out of sync .:bleh:

BRUH, study "the groove"...timing is everything.

(Also, get physical...clap your hands, snap your fingers, stomp your feet, bob your head...GROOVE, SUCKA!)

Appreciated alot. As you probably heard in my previous post, tonally there are lots of variations in it . Let's set aside its catchibility. When I'm making variations to everything and want to select the best ones I always face problems. As an example I've made more than 30 minutes of drum groove for this thread and posting a small part of it. My threads seem illogical to its participants but are real problems that I always encounter.:dunno:
