    What is this pitch staccato-downward glide-like efx? I've heard this in several different songs but no luck to find them thru keywords.

    Yea, I thought it was guitar rock slide too. But I cannot figured out the gated staccato efx they used in pop music. Maybe it was played through a sampler?
