What's a piece of software you could make an in-depth tutorial about?

Sorry, but could you rephrase your explanation? It was not so clear. Never mind, I will take a look at the manual. Thanks anyway!

Ok so maybe a tascam dp24sd or similar workstation like that would be a more modern alternative? If I had that Yamaha it’d probably be a mixer if I could use it as an audio interface with a bunch of inputs

Yes, I think the Tascam would be a more modern alternative and has more phantom powered XLR inputs. It has USB, but I dont know if it can be used as an interface, as the product description states that the USB port is meant for file transfer and doesnt mention real time. I guess the manual is easily found for download.
I did use the Yamaha as in/out for a computer using ADAT. ADAT is not an out of the box feature, but the AW has 2 slots for expansion cards, compatible with most expansions for Yamaha digital mixers (analog ins, outs, AES/EBU, ADAT, and so on. There even was a Waves FX expansion card, with a L2 and other Waves FX which could be mounted.). Latency wise, it was much better to record on the AW and transfer later than using it as an interface. Latency was fixed and very short.
ADCs and DACs were good. Far better than 1st gen Focusrite Scarlett ones.

I used one a few years ago since it was part of a class I was in and I sampled a couple things with it, definitely want to potentially get my own and use it like my focusrite since it has more inputs, just making sure I’m better off with the tascam
