asking for a friend.. what is a good full setup kit for podcast, in the $200 range? (2021)
our friend is already fairly successful, has a small following, and is starting to get picked up by more stations.
picture a rancher in a rural state who has little time, but dedicates the time each week. no GC's in his area to shop at, and has been miraculously getting the job done with a rubber band and a paperclip.
when i asked him about what his setup is now, and what he's been looking at, he showed me some links for soundcraft gear. so let just file 13 that.. and start from 0.
he does have the ability to convert what hes doing now to the internet.

heres what im looking for guys and gals ~
- complete kit, from mic - to - however our friend is presently converting to internet now
- up gradable. simple enough for an average person
- some room forgiveness. knock down some of those plosives, and rustling bags of chips just simply because we pointed him towards modern gear thats worth owning

 

our friend has mentioned an interest in going to video cast too. and at roughly the same costs as audio podcast equipment, have you seen any kits in the video cast? (assuming he has a cell phone, if the kit needs that). feel free to talk about the quality of the sound if he switches to video
