I was just messing around but started to get into the beat so i decided to dust off the mic.
Haven't done that in along time,but i had a ball making this.
Excuse the over all sound,i just wanted to get it down but once i sit down and write it down and change some things,i'm going to re-do the vocals and actually mix it.

 

One of the three songs I'm currently working on. So many difficulties with this one. Lots of proper transitions missing, no proper ending. Probably ends on the graveyard. Even while rendering to mp3 I made something wrong, song is about 5:30, but player says 38 minutes...

Yeah that did the trick.
Don't know a lot about the genre but it sounds good to me.

 

Well, there's a lot of transitions missing, and so the song pops from sequence to sequence, instead of naturally fading from seq to seq. And if anyone has an idea for the outro - please tell/show/present.

 

How about using the guitar breakdown that's in the middle of the track. cutting it dead with a heavy reverb on, and fade out on that reverb.

I figured I would post my current work in progress in order to join the festivities. It's not mixed by any means. Just tried to get some levels and added a bit of reverb on the vocals that's about it.

Isn't there one service with audiosex-enabled embedding, apart from soundcloud (I only have 2 gigs there, don't want to waste them on unfinished work), that truly works, and works everywhere?

 

Hot stuff! Is it your voice? I ask, because I don't want to put you down, but on the other hand I couldn't ignore that the voice is off a lot of times. Nothing what autotune or melodyne or others couldn't fix. Just wanted to point you to it. (Don't hate me!)

 

Yes it is. Could you please be more specific as to where I am off and I'll attempt to fix it(at what times). FYI, for this song I tried playing it every key to find a comfortable place to sing it in. So I don't have the key I changed it to down pat. I caught some of the stuff that was really off, but that's why I posted it here I figured I would miss some.

Why would I hate anyone for pointing me in the right direction. If play or sing a wrong note someone need only tell me and I'll go back and fix it. Thanks for the help though.

edit-- Yea i can hear the verses have some spots that are off.

If you want to, I'll pm you with the times. It's not only the verses. Sometimes the voice is close to the note but a bit too low (for example 1:04, 1:15-1:16, 1:19). But if only I experience it, maybe I'm too sensible?

 

@tulamide .. I saw someone here post from this site https://clyp.it and I decided to use it also in the event that I ever actually post an example of my work. It shows up on my tablet and played well. You might not even need to register but am not certain, though I did as "Days of Futures Past".

 

There. A first take of a lyric, a sound, etc...I was just searching for a melody, feeling passionate and somehow sang tons of notes sharp, and I NEVER sing off key, until now. So with all the farts, zits and searching for licks, all ugliness in one little place. I probably will never touch this again, but maybe I will. My favorite part is the singing Hindu and Carnac women samples that I cut up and placed strategically. The guitar I used for the strumming is my 1980 Jumbo Maple Ibanez while I searched for licks with my Martin D-15M. Best of luck and I have pity on your earballs.

@tulamide I really appreciate the feedback. And yeah if you PM the times to me I'll fix the parts. I agree with you, that I am definitely flat in some places. So it's not just you being too sensitive.

This is superliquid awesomeness! Please keep working on it. My favorite part is the first half with (you?) singing, wheras the women samples seem to not really fit. The solo towards the end is beautiful! A professional at work, for sure.

Have a second song written to go with "Our Sins", called "We Are Dark", which is based on the same topic, so will probably end up with an EP or album by the end, but I'm taking a small break, as I want to get an effects processor to put my vocals through. Anyways, finally got my midi through box, so popped into the used music shop near me to pick some extra cables, and the guy had just had a shipment in from japan. This inclueded a bunch of JV 80 expansion boards, so I picked up the Dance Expansion(lots of 90's stuff) which suits the style of dance music I like to make, So here is a small snippet of the track I'm working on right now. I'm just using the dance expansion and me Electribe 2.
