I’ve played 800 hours to Elden Ring, and since then, I’ve been completely addicted to souls and soulslike games.

Elden ring, Darksouls I and III and Bloodborne are easily my favorite videogames of all times.

Resonance - a plague Tale Legacy.
Hands down the best game I played since 5 years.
The story, the Music, the atmosphere.
    BTW I'm in my 40s.
    It's not me who changed.
PC Gaming in generell became worse.

But this Game is a diamond

You need to check this out with the DS5 Controller on PC.
    Crazy.

Thats great, its good to know what you like.
Even though a long time ago I spent many hours playing in multiplayer first person shooters, I prefer 4x strategy singleplayer
Stellaris, Galactic Civ 4, Age of Wonders 4, Civ V, Endless Space 2 etc

What's wild to me is, amidst all this madness with Sony locking it all down and creating an even deeper Us-'n'-Them divide, dudes right and left still acting like GOG doesn't exist. Granted, some heavyweights are missing from there, for now—from Elden Ring and Bloodborne to Starcraft, Need For Speed, Octopath Traveler, Ghosts of Tsushima, Max Payne, FFX, and the list goes on. So you can try for the argument that the catalogue is lite, but only comparatively cuz, let's be real, I can't be the only one who's got enough games to last me forever and a day... with room for a handful more that I trust will drop on there DRM-free.

On only a slight tangent, shout to the developers of The Blood Of Dawnwalker for releasing it Day One on GOG.
Solid devs who have faith that, players who want to actually own what they buy will legit pay for it, gives me hope.

    Stalker - Dead Air mod
Used to play Anomaly, but I exploited it too quickly and with top tier equipment it gets boring.

Dead Air is pure punishment, few days in and you only got a gun and a knife, started playing my old save and it took me a while to figure out what was I doing in my previous life.

My old PS2 has given up otherwise I'd be playing ISS2 like in the good old 2000's.

Souls-likes are my fave genre. I've played pretty much all the good ones (minus some that i just didn't have interest in). Sekiro is my personal fave of the bunch. Elden Ring was quite good, but I found that one a little easier than most of them. I think it might be only because when it released I went pretty much pure mage (something I dont normally do), and just kicked ass all the way through. I might do another play through as a more melee-based character.

@eXACT_Beats_ Of course I'm a fan, but I have a feeling that StarCraft 3 will end up just like Half-Life 3, Big rumors, but it never happens :bleh:

You could be right. My only consolation is that, since they wisely didn't reinvent the wheel for SCII—seemingly realizing that you just polish nice things with a soft rag, not a steel mallet—that the third would be similar in its retention of all the good, just with some more shine and more story... and yes, I'm being uncharacteristically optimistic about a corporation and its handling of what I consider a piece of artwork... and no, Hell has not frozen over... I don't think... I actually haven't checked. brb

I have a feeling the new Starcraft by Blizzard will be a Looter Shooter like erm Borderlands?
Dont know why it would take them 4 years to make that, but what do i know

    edit:

TLDR: apparently the armor is a massive deal in this game they want to build a game-world thats dangerous enough where it feels like its necessary to have this armor. To me "armor" suggests clunky slow gameplay, but again what do I know lol

I was playing Forza Horizon 6, a couple of monts ago and now I'm playing Assassin's Creed Shadows. Both games take place in Japan. I started to feel like I know all of Japanese folklore.

I haven't tried that one yet, but I played the original A Plague Tale game (Innocence) and it was excellent.. very immersive, and pretty heartwarming story (at least, I found). I'll have to give this one a try later.

Was a fan of Endless Space 2 played many hours, tried Humankind by the same studio... Humankind didnt really do it for me.
Hopefully this scratches my 4x itch.:guru:

Was going to play Mortal Shell 2 .. but a friend suggested Blood of the Dawnwalker, which for those that don't know, is made by some of the key people who worked on Witcher 3. I don't typically like vampire lore stuff, so I ignored this one, but now that i've tried it.. I like it. Seems good. I like the combat in it too.

Dead Air, game is kinda intense, but being a veteran i play it as a cooking simulator. Looting unloaded.

OK played a bit of Endless Legend 2... its fun, took a few playthroughs to get a good feel of it.
If you want action from the very beginning, keep the default settings when you start a map, but I suggest picking a larger map where your enemies aren't so close to you.

Yeah do it fast. It's one of the best games I played since many years.
There are no rats anymore. Real third person adventure and fighting.
But the story and music and atmosphere really knocked me out.
The last game which was able to do this was Syberia the world before.

No other games I can play for more than a hour. ^^
