    sounds like those string machine from 60-70s , solina, elk or even mellotron; G force string machine have them all

    Something like a korg triton or similar. The roland modules that are around could work too (JV-1080, XV-5080, SRX series), but i think the triton will get you closer with less processing. Speaking of the plugin versions, of course.

    That filtering effect sounds like pretty much just that, a filter.

    Yep, any popular ROMpler strings, maybe a light phase shifter and an instance or 2 of something like FilterFreak.

    It's not *really* the classic 70s string machine sound, with the ensemble phase shifter. That's why I would agree that starting with something like a Triton is the way to go. You could get it with a classic string machine though, I suppose.

    It's just a sample from Rhodes, Chalmers & Rhodes - Give It to You. It can not come from something produced after the 1980 (I'd say it could very well be real strings, triple tracked ...may be solina or similar). The rest is just a standard filter sweep.

    So whatever your source you have to resample it and apply filter sweep with some resonance..

    That's why starting with a ROMpler string sample is probably the way to go.
