Any nylon strung instrument that is plucked with a finger sans fingernails.

Well if you like vst i would go for FL pluck, FL sakura and FL bass, just decrease decay, sustain and attack (several other fx available) to 10% or 15% and play...

Sorry the automatic corrector wrote it wrong. It's named el tres cubano.
It's sound is largely due to the fact that there are 6 strings, but they are tuned in pairs. As the tuning is not perfect, you got this flanger like effect.

May be late on this one ... I just wasn't sure, if the instrument in the video is actually a Ghuzeng, or something slightly different. I guess there are some more plucked string instruments in Asia. I for myself couldn't tell the difference and didn't want to spread false information. It would be like if people that are unfammiliar with western music say that "an electric bass and an electric guitar is the same thing".

You asked for a PLUGGED instrument, right? And yet people come up with unplugged stuff.
    I say 12 string.

I like its sound however I reckon it sounds a little higher and "softer" than a traditional guzheng. Maybe a retuned one or another instrument of the china stringed instruments family.
