The tools of the younger generation are technology and automation for mass production, and the task of thinking that has been assigned to AI. These tools are literally made by 1000 people in the world and used by millions of people. Those 1000 people are the ones who shape the direction of music and all the developments, and the users are wrapped around the tools of those 1000 people like ivy branches, making it seem like everyone has a stake in the music. Those 1,000 people develop whatever they see fit, and everyone is forced to work with the tools those 1,000 people built. These tools have brought the situation to this point. Most likely, the number of developers is not even 1,000, much less.
