  2. If I haven't boasted about it until I bored people to death on this site, I will say it again....I have been blessed to have worked with Jon Anderson for the last 10 years.

Yes, I have talked to him :rofl:But he gets away with it, bless his heart. I actually contributed to a couple demo tracks back in, maybe 2007 or something- right around the time of the Big S**t-Hitting of the Fan. But we should take this PM and not derail the thread... (Juano is a little wacky too really)

I've heard that both of these guys are forced to wear special underwear on stage to guarantee those high notes on tour and I really don't think that they should - imo those balls must be allowed to run forever free!

The above is a textbook example of the gulf that can often occur between subjectively humorous & objectively idiotic.
So, kids - don't spliff and write, especially after a hard days' night... :knock:

    Cee-Roo - Work Song

This is the original music video, and a shorter version of the actual track.
The full song is (much) better!

Here is full track on YouTube (LINK)
Here is full track on Spotify (LINK)
Here is full track on Soundcloud (LINK)

The samples is taken from Alan Lomax recordings comprised of over 17,400 digital audio files, beginning with Lomax’s first recordings onto (newly invented) tape in 1946 and tracing his career into the 1990s. In addition to a wide spectrum of musical performances from around the world, it includes stories, jokes, sermons, personal narratives, interviews conducted by Lomax and his associates, and unique ambient artifacts captured in transit from radio broadcasts, sometimes inadvertently, when Alan left the tape machine running. Not a single piece of recorded sound in Lomax’s audio archive has been omitted: meaning that microphone checks, partial performances, and false starts are also included.

Link to Alan Lomax archive (kind of in the PUBLIC DOMAIN)
    http://research.culturalequity.org/audio-guide.jsp

The vocal samples in the song is taken from recordings done with people in prison in 1947 and 1958.
These recordings /negro prison work songs are "No more, My Lawd (1948)" and "Whoa Buck (1958)" (links below).

    Whoa Buck
    From Alan Lomax archive
    From Spotify (better quality)

    No more, My Lawd
    From Alan Lomax archive
    From Spotify (better quality)

(There is also a sample from Mannish Boy by Muddy Waters in the track)

Enjoy this piece of history! And you're welcome :)

    EXTRA
I´v also attached a MP3 file with me playing with samples from the "Whoa Buck" song from the Alan Lomax archive, and a short sample from the Cee-Roo Work Song :) Playing with that vocal sample, I also understand that Cee-Roo did some PHAT cutting and mixing of the vocals in his track!

I am a Canadian musician who was a guitarist for hire and did many different cultural shows by organizations who found it practical to hire local musicians to accompany their artists of choice and cut back on red tape and expenses, I did many Bangladeshi shows at one I met Ayub Bachchu, a favorite artist of theirs, an extremely versatile guitarist and great personality, no ego on this guy friendly, outgoing and sociable, unlike many others that I encountered who were ego trippers and looked down on everyone else. I listen to music from any culture. Ayub Bachchu died a year and a half ago, so I was just listening to a few of his songs, so this is what i'm listening to at the moment

I hope you enjoy these songs, playing music that the vocals were in languages I didn't understand was a bit of challenge at first, but then I really enjoyed it and met many musicians from other countries, which broadened my musical skills.

Considering most musical output is fit for the bin/delete, and the cream is always skimmed off (and asking which fraction of the cream is personally, subjectively 10/10, whittling it down even further) means that the correct interrogative pronoun in your title should be "which song", and not "what song"

Also, how do we know if anyone else has heard the song we think is 10/10? All of these fragile, self-obsessed wannabe artists hunting subscribers and views often buy a lot of views, so if a song has 100K views that still means there is a possibility no human fakker has ever heard the piece of shiet
