Parallels provides software virtualization, very mediocre at best, because on Apple Silicon architecture you end up with Windows 11 for ARM which then relies on additional Microsoft's subpar x86 emulation,

if you want a Windows laptop, then MacBook with Parallels will not deliver.
if you want to try MacBook for a reasonable price, then go for it - but forget about Windows and Windows plugins/instruments

Is an 8GB modern laptop dGPU good enough for video editing? Are you doing intense fluid dynamics simulations, complex 3d modeling, or just basic video editing? What you're doing with the CPU/GPU combo really matters lmao.

If you're asking questions like that I would highly recommend doing a lot of research about hardware specifications and capabilities.

It would be very helpful if you shared the model of laptop you're considering.

Windows laptops can be great hardware, with terrible build quality/peripheral components. Usually that's where the money is being saved.

Also check out Jarrod's Tech on YouTube and see if he's reviewed a similar model to what you're looking at. He does extremely deep reviews of laptops where he tests basically every single parameter of the device.
