Dead Posts and Reupload Requests
You don't need to post "dead links" comments, because now we have a special group (Residents) that can directly send Reupload Request to the Uploader and Cleaners.

However, if you spotted dead post, the best you can do as a Member is to contact the author of that post via PM and request new links.

In general, after a Resident makes report, uploader has 24 hours to reupload links; if he doesn't, next report will be sent to our Cleaner.

As a Member you can speed up this process by contacting the cleaner directly, but please understand that he receives thousands requests every day, so only contact him when other options failed.

i never said i couldnt find it. i found it 6 weeks back when it should have been moved to the top of the list.
i understand if omly old links are updated the post will stay in the atchives. nothing changed, all fine. but if new content is added, how do i notice?

they update and call it rev.2. and it moves to most recent posts, the way it should be.
either the updating is too complicated, or i dont know.
how many weeks do i have to go back, months? just not practical.

 

What happens if you subscribe to the posting? Unless there is a problem which affects me, I would not be going to specifically look for an update either. But would notice one if it appeared again, on the News.

 

probably a good suggestion for the occasional downloader... but with the amount of daily postings and all the comments in them, thats a full time job

 

s0 i take it it really is intentional. you dont want to spam the forum so the fantastic sampling releases wont go under the radar

 

funny you should mention hauptwerk as an example. some of the newer instruments that get released require the newer player versions that have been requested multiple times but are always no shows. except for v4.2 which barely (if at all) fulfills the requirements of many released instruments.

i accidentally found 5 such releases in just 1 week. i bet 95 percent on audioz are not aware of this practice. or 90. or maybe i should be the only dumbo

 

Take a look at vstorrent. Do you want 4 pages of reups mingling with new stuff interspersed everyday? Maybe they could bump them on the right panel as that one tends to accumulate slower but now you've got to scroll through enough pages for both sides to 'clear the queue.'

I have a certain fondness for the ux jank though. Just need some fireball gifs and a sparkling galaxy background somewhere random to complete.

 

Just for this topic reason - I have a process of keeping a bookmark of my download source, then 1~2 weeks after (before I archive it away) revisit the source / hp to check any comments / feedback / updates and paste them in a document with the archive.
