i think the title of the post says everything.
i was goggling for some sites to sell some songs of mine online but there are too many and i have no experience about how the whole thing works.
so i thought asking advice to my friends on audiosex would have been a good idea
Should i create my own website for free and advertise myself on social networks to gather people and sell my music directly from my site and getting paid via paypal ?
should i use itunes?
what are the other options?

There you have plenty of options to insert PayPal buttons, media etc...
I actually use it and it's quite good. You may consider that it's not easy to sell music.
People are very selective, often they buy only single tracks, or download them free elsewhere.
If you choose this approach you should build up a solid network of contacts.

to me, the absolute best way to go is bandcamp.com. tunecore is cool, also, but bandcamp is free, and all money made is yours.

 

just remember, if you are using the software to make music you are selling, BUY the apps you use!
