Soothe and Spiff would actually be pretty cool, with more bands..

Wish they'd make some of those AmpleSound guitars into real guitars, that would be cool.

Uh... no. It's more about the DSP chips in reverb units that do absolutely nothing but calculate delay matrices and modulations. That would be like if you put a pc with at least one 8-core-processor, which does nothing else but calculate with 6 cores max 4 reverb plugins and is therefore fully utilized.

Digital Signal Processors (DSP) Example: The Zoom MS-70CDR MultiStomp Chorus / Delay / Reverb Pedal
The highly developed DSP chip of the MS-70CDR with its 32-bit floating point calculation enables high-quality, studio-quality effects such as 25 intense, dense reverbs and realistic room simulations. These rooms, halls, arenas, plate reverbs and spring reverb effects add depth and spaciousness to your sound. The classic simulations include tc Electronic Hall of Fame and Nova as well as Digitech RV-7, Eventide Space, Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail and strymon blueSky.

To illustrate this concept, the diagram below shows how a DSP is used in an MP3 audio player.

yes, i know the basic functionality of dsp processing in digital reverbs. i had less stomps and more lex96 or m7 in mind, but generally they all work more or less the same...

At the beginning of the 80s there was still no chip technology. I had a chorus and a delay as a floor kick for the acoustic guitar from Boss. Since 2013 I have had a multifunctional effects device from Zoom A1 where everything is already included - actually for the same price as back then. I'm totally happy with it, thanks to DSP.

Of course, there is no DSP in a spring or platereverb and they were around before 1980. What is your point?
My point was that digital hardware reverbs don't sound different primarily because of the converters, but because of the extra work a dedicated DSP can do in computing compared to a workstation computer.

For me there is no need for any more effects. I'm rather annoyed by older synthesizers, for example the "Korg - R3". Max. polyphony: 8 voices, that's not enough. I would like a new edition of the synth with 127 voices and a larger memory. Or a software version that does justice to the 4K monitor.

In general I would like to have an analog linear phase EQ! Why does no one build such a thing? It's the year 2021, damn it!

    Will not be! ))
As there will be no analog reverb, except for primitive forms, spring, plate and with magnetic heads.
