I'm just wondering what monitors you guys are using and any recommendations?

I'm currently using two 24" 1080p older Acer monitors and am about to upgrade and looking at various options. At the moment I'm leaning towards a 34£ 3440x1440p ultrawide monitor.

Any recommendations or experience of using an ultrawide for music production?

 

Event 20/20's (Passive) powered by an old Technics stereo receiver. Plus 2 other sets of cheap consumer speakers for alternate references.

2 X Dell U2717D IPS UltraSharp QHD 27" IPS, 2560 x 1440 WQHD + Philips 32" FHD on top. Tried curved, ultrawide etc but this setup was best for me.

 

For composing to picture I have a 75” UM69 LG UHD TV ThinQ AI mounted on a swivelling wall bracket. The refresh rate is okay for DAW GUIs. Not quite good enough for games, tho'.

Also, a 26" touchscreen, again 16:10 AR. That one sits atop my desk. For gaming, I have yet another VDU. I don't get to use it much. Presently, it's tucked beneath my bed and gathering dust. I don't remember the make and model number. It's been so long since I last used it.

Personally, I don't fancy the idea of using an ultrawide VDU for audio. Whilst mixing/mastering I prefer to keep my head steady with as little as possible turning left/right. That way, my ears are always at the "sweet spot" between my loudspeakers.

I totally understand though cause when I saw the title of this thread I thought studio monitors too ...Screens? Anything wraparound 4K for me. This is nice:

just bought myself a set of HEDD type 20s and as for a screen a 34" ultrawide.

 

i use a normal 4k tv ,60zoll samsung, was thinking to upgrade to a 75zoll 4 tv but u need a 4k grapic card in pc too
