Not saying they're bad, it's the 'pot luck' of what you'll get that puts me off. If I knew it was going to only be 59 and not 60 but everything else was fine, ok.
no no. it isnt luck, you talk with the seller beforhand, if you buy the cheapest for 220 you might get a bad one but they send you a new one, the good sellers dont want to fuck you over. on overclockerz.net are loads of infos and youtube but dell and hp droped the prices also (on the last gen. models)
Hi. 2 x Asus 22" monitors (1080) and 2 x 19" Asus monitors, here. On a custom stand in two pairs. For me, the right and rational space for Cubase 8
Please check the ultra wide monitors, they seem to be a very nice option.. having 2 monitors in one sounds awesome.. the super wide screen will be very useful for graphics and specially audio DAWs If you are working with several tracks you could see all them at once.. I hope to get one of these the next year...
I use cheap 4K 28" Philips 288p. It is great actually, with sRGB preset and sharp photo mod. And color profile can be downloaded from the internet. Only have some weaker viewing angles. Screen is faster than IPS since it is TN panel.
LG 27" 1920x1080. One monitor to rule them all. ...but I do have a laptop on the side, with 1440x900 screen, that is being used for many things - additional DSP for plugins and mixer and control for StudioKonnekt 48. I would consider using 2 monitors but only if I could keep the Dynaudios in equilateral triangle with me. All I care about is the sound as I'm both mixing and mastering with this setup. It's not just the number of pixels that's important, it's the size of the screen. The more pixels - you need a bigger screen. 27" with 1920x1080 resolution is perfect for me. On 24" screen it still looks alright, but a bit too tiny for my eyes. I had also been using 1680x1050 22" Samsung monitor for many years, and that was perfect, too, but anything bigger than 1680x1050 would look too tiny on it.
www.imgur.com/IHMfGrn 3 screen setup works pretty well. (the toiletroll isn't for what you think it is. I am a messy guy).
The LG 21:9 is no 4k screen. Anyways, can't you just scale things (windows) or use OSX in Retina Mode ??
How do you maintain the perfect listening triangle ? How Far do you need to sit away from your screens ?!
I had the same impression until I got an iPad. Its Screen is so incredible sharp that I can even read very tiny fonts without any glasses, even when putting far away! I want a 21:9 screen which has a comparable pixel density as an ipad while being GLOSSY! Not available no ? Are there any glossy screen with 4 available ?
