What MIDI keyboard for expressive playing?

    Still thinking...Right now, Akai MPK 49 looks like a reasonable option, with its aftertouch and expression pedal input. But it connects to a computer via usb, will it matter in terms of latency? Is there a big difference between midi/midi and midi/usb connection?

    I will, definitely. I am a little confused - I ran into something that looks like Roland Cakewalk A-500 Pro but it's marketed as Edirol Cakewalk. Is it the same?
