My bosses will have to deal with the fact that i live among gangstas, so i'm not leaving here or the sister site. Working with legit shit, but also talking with good people that love music and discuss tools (and test em'). Anyway, merry xmas and hoping for you on the bangers charts:disco:

Madonna is another example of an artist that "reinvented" herself again and again to please the new generation, in order to remain significant for decades. The same goes for engineers. We must embrace technology if we want to survive. Being open to what is "new" is a must in this business. As I said, dinosaurs belong in museums and Jurassic Park movies.

I have no idea but I can't think of a pop song I like since like somewhere in the 90s. That's the decade where pop music started going downhill for me. So basically, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and few songs from the 90s is where I find my pop music enjoyment. Each of those decades (and before) had their own sound, generally speaking. After that it's like pop music hit a brick wall and they've just been recycling, mix and matching, prior decades in awful ways (imo) for the last 22+ years.

    I can't say why.

With all the respect, i think that such kind of question determines the point of making art. What do you like, feel, express about music gonna make it tomorrows reality. Just make good music, and gonna find its way.

What is found metal? I was just explaining why genre labels are a good thing from the heavy metal example where kids will search up heavy metal but not get what they want because they typed an umbrella term and not a specific type of metal underneath that umbrella which encompasses everything else below it because heavy metal came first and gave birth to the rest. I'm really intrigued on what found metal might be though. I think what you mean is neanderthals using found sounds to make metal? lol

I would unironically love for this to happen!

I want to be out at a flea market and actually meeting cool random peeps at the same milk crate table as me like back when me and my friends were record store rats coming into the same stores on the regular where the owners would just toss in free albums on top of what we got and included the albums we put back since we didn't have enough dough because we would become more like friends instead of just regular clients. It was a cool thing to look forward to and I miss it.

You know, instead of waking up and logging onto a site to get your music. Convenient, yeah, but very sterile because there's no human behind the counter to chat and exchange artists or bands that go along to our tastes. Besides, it wasn't like I was ever wasting too much gas or sweating too much cheek walking my ass up the store to the rekkid shop to meet up widda peeps.

Dude, me and my 2 other regular record store friends would write up paper lists for when we hit the flea market to grab the stuff the record store guy wants if we see it because he had something we wanted and fully accepted trades instead of purchases if you wanted.

I also could check the cd on his system or boombox in person before purchasing and didn't have to worry about shipping damages because that worry was left up to the record store exclusively so it was even less headache to shoppers tbh. A trip to the car back in the same parking lot works to play the cd in some good AC is a good substitute at flea markets that don't have a stereo for playback.

The least you expect because you are all busy gatekeeping and complaining about them in an Internet forum instead of working on your music.

Field recordings, atmospheric/dark ambient metal, industrial along with power electronics/power noise and experimental have already done these types of ideas in to death for decades.

I ping pong't between the gate kept funny and winner rating on this one dootz.
We need a new genre of forum rating called fwinner for the funny winner dubbed by kingchubbed. :break:

Over and above anyones hustle, clever self promotion, marketing, pretty face, sex appeal, dance skills ... surely we are all music lovers at heart?

My only hope for 2023 is that a few beautiful and talented souls somehow manage to overcome the literal deluge of shite out there and navigate their talent to my/our ears. With each passing year, that becomes a more forlorn hope.

If anyone reading this is actually a Mozart or a Beethoven, or The Beatles .... or or or ....then all power to you. I hope with all my heart you make it!

If you aren't, then you are part of the problem. Get off the over-crowded road and let them through.

Based on Audiosex members musical preferences I have put together a demo version of what someday might just be a very top ten style. Chinese Ambient Metal Tango
If this track doesn't bring tears to your eyes then you probably don't fear the future of music.

    Merry Christmas

New styles frequently bring out social violence. You may feel a seemingly unreasonable desire to listen to the track, upon listening you may feel anger, fear, nausia. that means it's a great track.
unfortunately all the Coochie team was so busy that all the producers involved weren't able to meet.
