No, it probably means that you were individually reported to them by downloading commercial films on a public torrent tracker. That's how they were able to tell you what film you got caught downloading/sharing.

it's not that hard to tell how much you have downloaded when you have to keep buying a new 4tb drive every month.

 

Note that I broke the data cap limit with uploading (video streaming on Twitch), not on downloading. The fact that @skeltoid had the same issue, confirm what I'm saying:

Just relax: with this transfer rate you will never reach data cap

I have a gigabit connection with Virgin Media UK. I get around 1030 Mbps download and around 50 Mbps upload. My package includes the gigabit broadband, phone line, TNT Sports (inc UHD), Sky Sports HD, Sky Movies HD, Netflix and every other available channel that Virgin has. I've been with them for 10 years and only pay £51 a month for that incredible package.

 

I have a 137.65 download and
12.18 upload speed using WiFi from my first bedroom. My hub is in the living room.

I pay £24 a month which is cheaper and much faster than the Internet was at my previous address.

I could get 1130Mbps download speed and 104Mbps upload speed for £30 a month for the first six month then £50 a month after that from Virgin media.

I do not need those speeds. However, my contract is almost up so I will be changing before the higher price kicks in.

 

I pay around 14 USD for this (with unlimited calls):



Prices in western countries are crazy. Even when taking into account the local market conditions.

Shockingly, I've had the contract for 16 years now. It seems like they have never increased the speed. The contracts they are now offering are significantly faster for the same money..
I should call and ask if a change of provider would be a good idea..

 

Damn, those speeds are impressive.. And impossible to beat price. Wow! Internet is way more expensive here. I pay 100Cad per month (70 eur). We know we get hosed here though.
