TDR Slick Eq M, HArrison AVA ME, but the best thing to do is to avoid the need of mastering eq by mixing properly in multi track. Eq changes on master must be very minimal.

@SpyFx ✪ I never try it but It is the emulation of an old analog Siemens Eq W295b, I think it must be very colorful
I hope I don't say something stupid and I wish you a good day too

Ozone 9 and Pro-Q 3? I heard that DMG Equilibrum was great for that too

Pro-Q3 is my first and only choice.

Having said that, any minimum phase EQ that has the desired EQ curve is sufficient. Phase shift is a natural part of acoustical phenomena. As such, you should try to mix in such a way to avoid the need for linear phase EQ as much as possible...

I've been using the Brainworx V3 Eq and the Dangerous Bax Eq for mastering.

The V3 is very transparent, very precise and has lots of very useful functionality (MS, solo band, mono maker, Stereo Width, Balance meter, Correlation Meter...)
I just discovered the Sonoris Mastering Equalizer, it does the job very well, unfortunately, it is old and it would need a good update to bring it some new current fonctionalities.

@mild pump milk , Thanks for the info, I didn't know the Balance Mastering Eqs
They look great on paper, maybe I'll try them.

I would like to know if some of you had the chance to try The Softube Weiss EQ1 or the new Amek EQ 200 from Plugin Alliance ?
Of course I would not buy them now, too expensive for me.

Thanks again to all of you for your feedback

Balance Mastering eqs are considered as best ones for mastering alongside EQuilibrium and SlickEQ M (on gearslutz), also MAAT (Algorithmix), PLParEQ, Sonoris both eqs

i ran few test on linear phase eq two years ago (fabfilter, waves, logic stock, etc...) and the winner was DMG audio (equality/equilibrium) hands down. no question.

Second that. Together with the TDR VOS SlickEq it's a sick combo for any production.

DMG Equilibrium is the best. The gui has a lot of options and it takes some setting up to get the workflow that is best for you.

Fabfilter Q3 sounds almost as good and has an easier to use interface.

We are talking about transparent Eq plugins, and not UAD :bash:

Any stock eq plugin will get the job done. You might find a few emulations that add a touch of color, but all in all any vst EQ will what you're looking for. Not to sound harsh or anything, but we get into hoarding plugins as producers and start to lose sight that a name brand isn't what's going to improve your sound, when it's really just training your ears, and knowing what to hear from experience.

Yeah the EQ from FL Studio works fine, or the one from Cubase... At least when it's (just) for mastering and you don't want to do something surcigal... But something like Fabfilter Pro Q 3 or DMG Audio EQuilibrium might be even better or easier to use... Many people think that one of these two is the best transparent or clean compressor. But for mastering I just use TDR Slick EQ (the standard one). It has nice models or curves or whatever it's called, and (if wanted) many nice coloration options. The mastering version must be even better, but I don't use it that much, because i'm not really good at mastering, and don't use that much EQ in the mastering process anyway.

I agree with the first sentence, any Eq does the job of an Eq.
However, it would be a shame not to take advantage of all the benefits of the new Eqs.
Compare the sound 50 years ago to the sound of today.
It is precisely by training listening that we become aware of all the subtleties that these new tools can bring.
