what does this mean? is it infected? who is warning me? am I infected? never saw this before geblokkeerd: kan een virus of spyware bevatten translates to: Blocked: could have a virus or spyware inside it
If it's from a safe source then it's a false alarm. It's probably a .exe file in the zip pack or something like that. Be careful from where you download stuff though
well, its from a beloved/well known source if you know what I mean haha, I would assume that its a false/fake warning, but were is it from? some sort of new protection from firefox? Or am I infected by some ad-ware that wants to sell me their new super duper security software after planting some mistrust in my computing habits?
Chrome has been telling me "certain downloads" are malware lol. The cynical part of me thinks these companies might be shilling out some $ for these messages...
hey, audio lovers, just use the srware build called iron, that one has never caused anything similar as yet... all the best for all of us (plus pray do exclude such some false alarms)...
I have also noticed recently there are more false alarms appearing as virus software is updated, I suspect a new marketing/business venture between the antivirus companies and software developers is taking place, make sure files are downloaded where people can make comments about them, if there are indeed any nasties lurking inside them rars, word will very quickly spread
It's a false alarm. And a nasty one - it'll delete your file once it's downloaded. Better to turn off the anti-malware protection in Firefox, then turn it back on once you're finished. *yes*
Its a firefox setting, you have to disable it to be able to download that file See here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-does-phishing-and-malware-protection-work#w_how-do-i-use-the-phishing-and-malware-protection-features I think , Block reported web forgeries is that option
same thing happend to me but it was in chrome. i just declined the message and resumed the download without any problems in the package.
