    @ pjotr41,

Digidesign Protools Control 24 Mixing Board 2

Maybe the version 1, as I can't really zoom to get an extremely accurate view of it, but I incline rather to version 2 (Mixing Board 2).

More detailed infos and videos can be found here :

I don't think that it's older than you... or you're a very young boy !

lol iam 23 but the mixer on the digidesign homepage looks different than this version, that was the reason i never have found it

i agree with you but i dreamed for a long time to have a mixer, with nice faders i dont know 48 or 64 , to have something to play with , i think making music nowadays only with pc is sometimes boring, my workstation is complete in a pc, there is no musical touch anymore, exept the midi keyboard

i was thinking about to buy a console but there are so less digital daw mixer like presonus, digidesign, mackie, solid state logic but the are absolutely to expensive

    @ Pjotr41,

Just for your information, I found a few minutes ago on Internet an add for a Digidesign Protools Control 24 Mixing Board 2 to sale. The seller ask $5800 for it. There's some pictures but it's always wise to try it before... we never know the state of the knobs, faders,... and above all its "bowels". It's just for you to get an idea of the second hand price of this kind of gear.
As you're also talking about others prestigious mixer/console names as SSL (Solid State Logic),... the most part of them are, as you so well stated, beyond the reach of our finances !

As it also seems that you 'feel' or at least 'need' to touch physically a mixer during your music work, why don't try to find a more cheaper mixer ? Maybe a second hand in good conditions with which you can practice in waiting for, perhaps, your dreamed mixer...
As you're involved in DAWs, I mean in Computer Music (Softwares), maybe it could be fine for you to acquire a MIDI Controller because some of them possess real Faders in place of the usual Rotary Knobs, and these have the possibility to configure the virtual faders of you favorite DAW Mixer via MIDI.
This way you can "touch" real Faders that apply their actions over these of your DAW. You can even find MIDI Controllers with motorized Faders. Of course, these may cost you a bit more, but nothing to compare with a real SSL, or the Premium gears of Presonus, Mackie, Digidesign,...

    Just a thought... *yes*

It's better to find a software specific digital console like the presonous for cakewalk or the roland for sonar or one of the newer consoles for pro tools forget the digi you've describe it's not in production or supported properly any more buying used your just asking for problems.

What the hell is M-Audio talking about? Its a control surface, not a console. It will work with waves plugs in ProTools! Again and again he makes himself look uneducated about production, while flaming the OP's question and offering absolutely no help. This guy need to upload some of his beats so we can help him get on track.

Euphonix makes the best controllers out there right now. Eucon (ethernet not usb) and touchscreens. Way better than my Mackie Control Universal.
