What hw synth made these samples?

    I'm trying to figure out the hardware synth I need to buy to make nasty raw saws like this.

    Bass station 2 , Microbrute and moogs can do this easily

    But I think in your examples a poyphonic synth with stereo out was used

    Sorry, only a 1983 Crumar Spirit can make that particular saw sound. These guys above have no ear for this kinda thing.

    I was of course was only bullshitting; I thought that was obvious :rofl:

    What I meant to say was that only a 1972 EMS Synthi AKS being played through a 1964 Magnatone Custom 250 Guitar Amplifier in a room with one window open in Presika, Croatia during an exceptionally rainy July could ever possibly create that saw sound. And if you don't know that, then...I feel sorry for you:dunno:.

    those samples i posted were from Magix techno trance ( 2001 ) if that helps. i kinda think now they are virus or moog samples. could be wrong tho.

    sounds immediately like a virus to me. especially in the Reese-like example #2.

    Try a KORG MS-20. The last sound is the only single saw I heard. the others were multiple detuned saws and flanged or an oscillator-controlled filter most likely. A Titan or Titan2 could do those for a softsynth, MOTU MachFive, UVI, they are kinda short anyway.
