I have a emu ultra proteus I'm going to make some multi-samples from. might take a bit but I'll put together a .rar when done.

I converted to Kontakt many of the E-MU classic series (1-6, 12 and Virtuoso Orchestral) with CDXtrack,
but it only works with ISOs, no luck with the separate exb packages..
(the Proteus ISO I got didn't work for some reason tho..)

Then tried making an E-MU compatible ISO of the EXBs with Chicken Translator,
but it's harder than it seems..

And IIRC converting them straight to kontakt didn't work,
as it gives lots of strange pitch/delay errors..

Do you own an XT or a Q? I've had both since about 1999/2000 and Largo isn't remotely near either one. Even the Q and XT are worlds apart in their sound and what they do. The Largo is a Blofeld in software form, and the Blofeld sounds nothing like the Q or the XT either (got one of those right here next to the other two).

Wolfram Franke did most of the work on Largo (and then left Waldorf), the XT and the Q ,were all Stefan Stenzel's babies long before he became CEO..

I'm just going to use the Logic Autosampler. You set the note length and number of root keys to record, velocity variations, etc. I'd rather use SampleRobot to be honest, but I'm not paying 300+$ for it and there has been no scene release for many versions; and none of them for Mac. You can then load them into Kontakt or any other sampler. I plan on doing a bunch of other machines to share also, but the E-Mu has been mentioned the most so it's going first.
