Hi everyone! I’m curious about what inspires or motivates you to start working on a new track.

• Do you set a clear goal before beginning? For example, do you have a specific concept, emotion, or idea in mind?
• What steps do you take before diving in? Do you sketch out an idea, experiment with unusual combinations, or just follow a burst of inspiration?
• Is it more of a spontaneous process for you, or do you approach it methodically?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on how you approach this first step of the creative process. What drives you, and how do you channel that energy into starting something new?

an interesting chord progression or an interesting lyric, and when you get lucky both of those at the same time.

 

I do sound design from scratch as a relaxing and creative activity, mostly wavetable and FM.
If I stumble on something noteworthy or inovative I will start to build around it.
If not I just get lost in the sound and enjoy myself.

I take the direction of how I'm feeling or how I want to feel.
My skills limitations and how little tools I use always make the music coherant and personal.

It's a pleasant feeling of discovery and how I got rid of impostor syndrome.

 

Passion and new idea, that the feeling is only once a month, that's a shame
