I agree with the second half but not the first. Justin Bieber received the same with repeating Baby, baby, baby, baby ad nauseum and so did Kanye and no they're not good. They're marketing ploys. There was an embarrassing video live of Bieber with Stevie Wonder and they had to use autotune on Bieber's voice and he still sounded underskilled with Stevie Wonder and Bieber's label pulled it down. So this is not a benchmark I use being liked or streams, nor would anyone with music skills. The music is the determinator.

Do I think she's good? Yes. Do I think she's amazing? No for now but that may change.... Amazing is reserved for people who have a uniqueness that advances music as a whole or an instrument or does something that nobody before has created that will leave a mark in centuries to come.
I think she writes well and has created a niche for herself within an already over-popularised market that needed a fresh face. She has successfully merged older storytelling style music with modern music. I look forward to seeing how or if she develops that or if she remains in the same space just because it will probably make her more money. Hopefully, not the latter because she has writing skills.

People all around the globe want sex. They want everything for sex. Music for sex. Pop, Trap, Hip-hop music is sexier than other kinds and females are more sexier than males.

People listen to music because it makes them to think about sex. The main goal is sex not music.

So basically you're saying music should disappear up it's own ass (or rather, up your ass) and not be allowed to express things?

But music is not pure mathematics, and even if one assumes so, it can't be a self-contained, complete, axiomatic, or provable system. Kurt Gödel made sure of that.

They should find other things to spoil and express themselves by. Music must be kept out of their touches and remain virgin.

 

I would be interested in knowing just exactly how much she actually did contribute to the writing of that James Bond song "No Time to Die". But she does sing it well and BTW that is not nothing as it is two octaves wide. Adele's Bond song "Skyfall" is half of that range at one octave which is about average for a song nowadays.
