i dont listen to her music. she got lots of help, like anyone who made it. but her grind is hard. really hard. she has talent and works hard with her brother. now she cannot live a normal life anymore. thats fucked up. she is just doing her thing. i dont consider her a sellout or something. i think she a real one.

 

she will be what you think she is. i don't care much about artist personal life, if the song is as good as putting me into listening to it over and over again.. it will be on my favorite song playlist.. like the latest one, the one justin timberlake and anderson paak and anna kendrick and other featured artists did to me with "Just Sing" from the Trolls World Tour soundtrack.. hehe.. yeehaa!!

since the " we've made it in our bedroom, everybody can live the dream" happened, there's been tons of related posts everywhere,
just like with Soothe on this forum recently.

all musical considerations aside, and regardless of her authenticity,
she's been chosen to sell music, bags, lipsticks, you-name-it to kids and teenagers by big corporations :
she's not the hottest girl of the class, you don't have to be a good singer to sing what she does, she's writes songs about what a girl of her age lives ...
to say that the success she's having was "planned" by her entourage is a bit pretentious, her relatives were or still are in the industry, but
I doubt one can influence Channel or Apple in their choice to put someone on the forefront in order to be an influencer, but the video posted above is of pretty honest and should be an eye opening to all wannabe artists out there ( if they don't already know all this )

the downside is fame, and generally, the ones who criticize her ( or any "sellout" out there ) are the same who cry that their music doesn't get the credit that it deserves and that there's a conspiracy against them, that the system is rigged, blah-blah-blah...

yet they barely could face an army of trolls bashing them on twitter without getting depressed...

she's being used, I think it went beyond her expectations and honestly, if she has the ressources to face it, she'd be stupid not to take advantage of it.

Nothing. I know this is some kind of a singer but I've never heard it (most modern artists can't really be considered human beings I think). Probably just some 2/5 star music.

She is the walking definition of an industry plant.

 

With her 5 Grammys, it shows just how bad the music industry is struggling. Plenty of amazing talent out there, but they put all their eggs in one basket. $$$$$$$$$$$$ Just more of the normal insider BS that has existed since the beginning. Another "next big thing" that will most likely fade out as money shifts to another "up and coming". Demographic = ages 10 - 17.
