I saw this screenshot from SSL 9000 J product page on Plugin Alliance. On the page there's a few screenshots of the plugin loaded in a daw. And this particular screenshot has a DAW that I have never seen before. On the image title, it says "...ableton.jpg" but that's definitely not it. I've checked I dont think it's either Digital Performer/Logic Pro/n-Track/Tracktion Waveform. The layout kind of look like Logic though.
it's MPC Software or MPC Beats https://www.akaipro.com/mpc-beats it can load VST2 - so the bx_Plugin is loaded as a Plugin in one of the Channels
You have to give it a try - there is a bunch of YT Content from the AKAI-Promotion-Machine. If you have an MPC or some other pad-controller or keyboard hooked up, it can be really fast working with it.
There are definitely better ones and easier to handle let' s wait for version 3 - rumors say it's not far away
If you have focus and are able to ball song parts in your head (chorus, the break the intro etc) record those sequences separately and then put them together to a song then you will probably find it very efficient. Its a no nonsense way of making music, very much like songwriters share the work load when writing songs in a session. But If you are used to the linear approach of regular daws or have difficulty to think abstractly not seeing the song evolve in a timeline then you probably will not dig it It has a free totally usable version so feel free to check it out. Of course you can use it within your favorite DAW. There's a reason it's originally a beat machine...
