I currently have the latest version of FL and was wondering what the best settings in FL I should apply? I left the PPQ alone at 96 (heard lower is better performance), and CPU has multithreaded running so those settings are ticked. My buffer rate is 22ms, 48k sample rate. FL studio ASIO.

    PC Specs: Windows 10
AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics
    16GB RAM
500 GB for main PC, and 4TB SSD
    Legion 5 Laptop

Noticed that my plugins load in sluggishly no matter which one. Friends have MacBook's and their plugins load in about 1 second. I typically consolidate tracks especially if using serum, diva, omni.... and for heavy projects i go to macros and do smart disable... however I've noticed my CPU in FL goes to 100 and freezes my system for mixing larger projects. I have my laptop on a stand for better ventilation.

Any settings I should apply to make fl run faster? Or is it time for a new laptop..... (for example I can't even play "The forest" game without the pc bugging out). Bought this one in 2021, so far it's running excellently other than modern games not working (ironically its a gaming laptop), and fl studio bugging out. Really would rather not switch to the MAC world, just don't like the configuration, used windows my whole life, but if creating music or casually playing games is a million times easier I make the switch.

    Any advice would be appreciated

Buy a 1 TB SSD for your C:/ hard drive, this will give you a lot more speed!

    Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal SSD - €77 EURO

Advantages of SSD: Disadvantages of SSD:
    - longer lifespan than HDDs (if read/write accesses are low)
    - faster start-up speed
    - faster in the read and write process
    - lower power consumption
