What are you listening to now?

  1. I know. You've heard Jeff Buckley sing Grace dozens and dozens of times and maybe more. Me Too! He sang the shit out of the song and it is an amazing studio produced piece. Here he sings it live...and you will be blown away like the first time you heard him sing it. Stunning.

  5. These guys are great and the singer has pipes, man, what a great soulful voice. He has funky teeth, but oh that voice...and fantastic songs.

I listen to nothing. I am losing interest in music after 42 years as a pro. It doesn't help that I am anhedonic. Depressed and anxious and over medicated. I'm so disappointed in myself. I was offered a job scoring a large staging of a Shakespeare play for good money and I turned it down because I can't focus on music like I used to. My partner, she likes the radio on weekends.....it all sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard. I may have to leave her.

  16. Been there. I took 6 whole months not listening to music, listening to the radio, watching movies or television, no internet, no reading...no external influences whatsoever. I cut off all my long straight hair, shaved it actually to the skin too as it felt like it was collecting way too much vibe that even swimming in the ocean couldn't cleanse. What I did do was spend all my free time in nature communing with the natural world which had the desired effect of grounding me, recharging my body and soul plus gave me insight of how to better negotiate living in Babylon whence previously I felt it almost too hard to deal with all the bullshit of this modern world.

You will find a way to balance. Be easy on yourself. It can be really hard to cope with the noise but you'll find a way. Perhaps it might be beneficial to hold council with a third party to help you find a way to negotiate the gauntlet until you come out the other end.

just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in experience exactly what you describe. You are a sensitive soul, like me (and other humans on this forum). and the world fucking STINGS and hurts alot of the time.

feel free to reach out if you want someone to just listen. or talk

i've died multiple times in this life, it feels like(?!) so i got some personal experience on how you help myself out of a rut

just look at my avatar. still got the walk!
