These guys have quickly become one of my favorite modern bands.

 

this gentlemen is from my neck of the woods within a few hours so i've been watching this unfold since the day of his song going viral. at first i just thought it was awesome to see this guy roughly my age from a similar nowhere type place, go fully from unknown to #1 on the charts overnight. honestly it gave me a little glimmer of hope after a pretty rough period of not knowing what exactly i create music for recently bc of how low the odds are of any success. not going to lie i also felt pretty jealous of him and wondered why these kind of things never happen to me. then i listened to the song and knew immediately that this may not be something to envy bc as soon as i heard the lyrics i knew this fellow was going to be put through the ringer in the media and called all kinds of awful shit. although i didn't expect it to happen as quickly as it did.. i still consider it a win for independent artists though

 

I just found an Italian based group called "Banda Bassotti" with members who are basicly old musicians from several countries mixing their musical genres together. Great to hear so many instruments together again, sounds almost like Chicago, Blood Sweat & Tears, and Lighthouse and mixed with World Music. Sounds like they're having a great time live. I

Nice 80's sound. Reminds me of This Mortal Coil / Cocteau Twins.
Incidently those two bands were responsible for the 'Great Reverb Shortage' of 1984. We had to import cheap reverb from China.
