Alestorm (Pirate Metal)

 

I love Simple Minds. Great band. I've been a fan of theirs since Junior High School. IMHO, the live in the city of light version of that song is better. They sounded amazing live in concert. Ghostdancing was another good one off their live in the city of light album. Good stuff, awesome tunes, amazing band. :D

 

Also, I often sound-trip to my own music.

Most think I have a huge ego when they see me tune out to my own music. But I do it because it's medicine to my heart and my ears. It is very effective to me in general. Especially when the music industry can't give me what I want to hear, I often produce it myself, which helps keep me connected with my sanity. One of the many qualities of being a multi-instrumentalist is you don't have to settle for "Give it to me I'm worth it, Oh yeah oh yeah I'm worth it. Touch my bum. Oh eeh yeah, I'll not fart. Boo bee doo bum bum pizza hut, dildo in my ass, stray cats are sexy ooh look pepsi" (notice the irrelevance in lyrics), that you hear on the mainstream. If nothing good is coming out in music, it doesn't concern you because you can just make it yourself with a little bit of creativity and songwriting knowledge. The quality in the noted track of mine is not all that good (especially drums, and I did horrible on the EQ'ing), which is why I only put it on Spotify - who I can't make blibiddy blomp shit with. Good luck making even a $5/year from that crap show. *Eye roll*. That don't matter. What does matter is that makes me happy and I still sit back and say "Look what I made" and I'm proud of it. Society doesn't enjoy the same crap I enjoy, and I'm okay with that as long as I still have both my hands and my brain.

BTW, Many of you have some damn good taste in music. I'm surprised. Most people I know have no clue what music is.
