I'm currently rounding up anything i can on vocals choirs and stuff i will be buying in a near future.
Can anybody come up with something really good?

So far, i enjoyed AERIS mostly. I also love the choirs in Metropolis ARK 1 and 2

PS : no vocal chops or phrases please...they are not usable. At least for me.

Best Service Peter Siedlaczeck's Classical Choir
Spectrasonics Symphony of Voices (Those two are way obvious)
    Best Service Hallelujah

    In more recent stuff:
Strezov Sampling: Storm Choir 1 & 2, Tropar,
    Best Service Cantus, Mytica
The ones in the Kontakt Factory Library

Avoid East West as best as you can.

That's all i could come up with.

Because the PLAY engine is riddled with bugs, and I've heard horror stories about their support staff. Also, Kontakt is more user friendly, RAM efficient, stable, flexible etc... It's clearly a superior sampler. EW no doubt has great samples, but the PLAY engine is it's biggest drawback.

The new version of Play is totally fine, no reason avoiding it anymore.

And beside usual suspects like soundiron, strezov, cinesample choirs, I am really diggin old ew symphonic choirs ATM, mainly because of it's wordbuilder. No other library could do what my current project needs. And it sounds great! It's not that easy to use, but the result is worth it IMO.

If you are suspicious about ew play, you could always try composer cloud for a month (30$) and check its performanse on your system.

    *sry double post

I've got EW Voices of the Apocalypse in AKAI format. It's probably easy to load it in Kontakt. Just mount the ISO with WinCDemu and import in Kontakt. Any AKAI ISO should work this way. It worked for me when I needed it.

Symphoic choirs are a generation above, though. Meaning, much better Q, depending on what you need, of course.

Not sure if its fits onto your category, but, Soundbetter Singers library are best vocals to me. I also admire Best Service KWAYA, hoping to get one in the future.

Because they sound unrealistic, as does every East West product. Though i kinda like Voices of the Apocalypse.

That's just my personal opinion on it.
