    I'll start!

    Big Fish's SMACK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjcJyof0qQY

    8Dio's Seahorse: https://soundcloud.com/8dawn/sea-horse-the-shinto-of-a

    Ilya Efimov's Balalaika Prima: http://www.ilyaefimov.com/products/russian/balalaika-prima.html
    And honestly, anything from Efimov's russian folk series. So beautiful.

    Lastly, I'll give a shout out to the EWQL gypsy series! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57hqPPKxsyY

    What about you, friends?? :thumbsup:

    1. 8dio Glass Marimba (wonderful, it was given for free some year ago);
    2. Soundiron Twine Bass;
    3. The Giant by night or Cinematic version;
    4. Vir2 Violence and Fractured.

    They're not superhuge libraries but the source material and the sound design of the samples really impressed me! :bleh:

    You get not only the instruments, but also loops that can get you started on a groove. I keep coming back. Although I'm Latin American, I lack Latino groove. I was raised in rock music, so this is a life saver when I am asked to do something Latin.

    Synth Magic

    Personally, Ive always found the "libraries" that are under 500mb and contain less than a dozen instruments to be the best.
    (I prefer unique and original instruments over # of round robins, # of mic positions etc.)

    a few years ago, a vstclub member named cosi put out two libraries - "Dream VISION Guitar" and "Droning WINDS Guitar" that she created. i consider these libraries two of my favorites.

    VSTClub is scum. They use our links and then have the balls to CHARGE members to access them. Heard a lot of fucked up stories about that place. Here's one: frito makes a share. All of a sudden his share is put behind the aforementioned paywall and he is told that to see his own share he has to pay to get access. :wow: He mentions that this is completely ridiculous and unfair and gets banned. My goal is to stop the proliferation of sites such as this because they exploit the work of the teams and rape the members. They should be stopped at all costs even if that means the scene goes underground.

    yeah, totally hate that place, cat. they charged me for a "lifetime" membership. and then a year later they banned me for life because i questioned the way they had forced all of the premium uploads to be on their own hoster (tropicshare or something like that) which meant that my "lifetime" membership was now worthless because i had to pay for access to their hoster. true scumbags on that site.

    but at one time (long ago) they had a very friendly community similar to this one. the two libraries that i referred to were done by one of the members, and they were offered for free. she did an awesome job of sampling her guitar and the scripting was very good for the time. anyway, they chased her out of there as well.

    I agree with all of the above mentioned libraries! We must all have similar tastes! I will definitely add Output REV to that list, second, Pendleton's Plastic Chost Piano, third: synthmagics sounds of the quadra, the stuff by hollow sun, sonic couture...(wrenschenspiel is great).....

    Woa... that's really disturbing :( Unfortunately, some people just have no boundaries when it comes to exploiting others for their own gain :snuffy:

    Honestly though, hearing that just couldn't make me happier that there's a place like this around though, where people come to purely to share/help others :bow: It gives everyone a fair chance at being the best they can be!

    Me myself will not pay for something that is free and over the net.

    Were are all Scum in eyes of developers,authorities and the FUCKING BANKS.

    As for what are some of your favourite non-standard (quirky) Kontakt libraries?
