Recently remembered the old Toxic 3 plugin and wondered how it’s different from Toxic Biohazard from FL Studio other than different interface and presets, there’s even a little “Toxic IIII (should be IV)” in Biohazard’s interface too, is there any point in running the old Toxic 3 when you can just run Toxic Biohazard especially since it’s available for newer versions of Windows and not just as an included FL format plugin? Wanted to know before I dig into the past since I already have Toxic Biohazard and wondered if there was a use for Toxic 3?

 

I read a KVR review just now and the guy said Biohazard has better bass than III, and a bazillion more presets. There was comparison with Virus, and for the sake of saving time I'd be thinking of relying on that instead. But I am in downsizing mode not exploration so much.

 

Why don't you install both plugins and try out the presets?

It's definitely worth it; I think there are some great presets and fantastic sounds. Toxic 3 also sounds a bit brighter than Toxic Biohazard. There are also some worthwhile sound banks for Toxic 3 from well-known sound designers. In my opinion, Toxic Biohazard sounds a bit warmer and more powerful. There are also two predecessors: Toxic 2 and the first Maxx Claster synthesizer, the eJ Synthesizer.
