I would be so pleased if someone yields some audio samples for comparing them because with talking nothing noticeable would happen.

Myth: Vinyl sounds better than CD

    .
No discussion about this topic would be complete without acknowledging that a person's perception is their own reality.
Many people prefer listening to music on vinyl rather than on CD or digital formats, a majority of those people do so because they honestly percieve the sound to be better. Better meaning; more natural, less artificial, more true to the original studio recording, more organic, more enjoyable etc. For such people the statement that "vinyl sounds better than CD" is not a myth but a fact

The statement "Vinyl sounds better than CD" has nothing to do with technical measurements. In context, the word "sounds" refers to waves interpreted by an individual's ears, not by a piece of measuring equipment. The word "better" is subjective, based on personal experiments, comparisons and observations, and in the case of sound quality is very personal. We could make the statement "CD sounds better than Vinyl" and the previous statement would equally apply

Quick, easy and cheap option. Buy Satson by Sonimus. Put it on every channel and increase the saturation a little. Put the Buss version on busses and the master too. Very subtle on individual channels but over a whole mix can really help take that digital edge off. (also sounds great if you want to really drive it a bit)

Apart from plugins and modulation and noise. The best tip I can give you is to calibrate your monitors, and do the gain-staging part that comes with it.

1 - start off with real analog is -18 db lower than digital so for one stop using waves l3 on blast
2 - buy one piece of analog gear and learn the hell out of it, synth , drum machine , whatever
3 - focus on less parts and more on the quality of each part

in the end think of this - you're going for an analog sound and the highest quality of everything to then go to master - then back to at best a 320 mp3 or lower for streaming .

    Makes Total Sense

I didn't mean to say that the quality of the signal makes a difference. On the contrary, I meant to say that if "the pure DAWishers" see DAWs as something else than record machines, that's where the problem lies. Music should come mainly from instrumental execution on an instrument that needs to be played out rather than programmed or loop sequenced. This is what has caused cookie-cutter songs programmed, not played, by producers who are more skilled with a QUERTY keyboard than a music keyboard.

I guess it's clear what he means to say. Digitally processed music is basically what the algorithm does to the zeros and ones of the digital or digitalized audio signal. When using analog gear, the sound waves are affected by the electronics of the gear, the crosstalk among such components, mold and wear, and even the wires used to put the piece of gear together. All those "non-musical" items affect sound waves in a musical way indeed. That's what analog gear emulates: noise and imperfect build.

  11. This is my idea of a visual representation of the natural aural beauty of analogue derived sonics.
