Hi guys, I have been looking if Waves11 is working on Catalina. A lot of doubts. I couldn't get a clear answer.
Does it works on Catalina?

 

If you are using Logic, the stock plugins work just as good or better, than Waves. Then there are better alternatives like ToneBoosters, Plugin Allaince & T-Racks 5 as examples, that seem to work with other DAWs without the compatabilty issues that Waves tends to present. Especially with Ableton Live & Studio One.

Have personally moved on from Waves on both macOS & Windows.

Best of luck if you are sticking with Waves.

 

Doesn't get much clearer than when Waves announced they were compatible last year.

Now Im using Waves9 on Catalina. But I have installed when I was running Sierra and then updated to Catalina. It is working fine. But now Im getting a new computer that comes with Catalina. Do you Think I can Install any Version of Waves? 9, 10 or 11?

 

there is some issue with a library file. An error comes up about a dynamic link library every time you boot up. Technically waves 11 works but it causes severe CPU spikes and will cause Logic and Digital Performer to crash and behave erratically.

 

Waves using a shell translation to load plugins is a system past it's time. If Waves recoded for direct loading of VST, VST3, AAX & AU, I believe most if not all of the errors/issues with Waves plugins would be resolved. Just a thought formed over a decade or so.

 

Yes it works correctly. Waves 11 on Catalina, not tested super-ultra-heavily but I use some of the plugins everyday, e.g. the CLA artist series.

 

Can anybody make an installation procedure? I tried this one but It still asks me to "contact support - installation failed" after trying to install plugins in waves central. View attachment 21613

* Download Waves Central from website
* Open Waves Central and download installer
* Installer will be created here: Macintosh HD⁩ ▸ ⁨Users⁩ ▸ USERNAME▸ ⁨Public⁩ ▸ ⁨Waves Offline Installers⁩ ▸ ⁨Waves⁩
* install plugins from the created offline installer
* Reboot
* Use WavesLicenseEngine from this release
* Launch AU reg Utility apps (all of them)
* Optional: In Macintosh HD⁩ ▸ ⁨Applications⁩ ▸ ⁨Waves⁩ ▸ ⁨Plug-Ins V10/V11 you can delete unnecessary plugin (.bundle)

Scanning the audio units in Logic Pro X, it asked for the sample libraries from the following instruments:
-Electric 200
-Electric G80
-Clavinet
-Bass Slapper
-Grand Rhapsody Piano
-Bass Fingers

Does anybody know about their sample libraries? I searched everywhere with their respectable names and still didn't find it. Not even inside >Waves Sample Libraries

 

I have the same issue!

I'd found the library folder though under: F:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Data\Instrument Data\NKS where I have it installed. I see all the necessary files --> *.nkfs

- Bass Slapper
- Clavinet
- Codex
- Electric Grand 80
- Electric 88
- Electric 200
- Element (only one working)
- Grand Rhapsody

When I choose the folder it sets me back to where I should browse through the files. Again and again...like a loop. Never works.
