Hi Guys

Im using Presonus Studio 2.6.2. Lately I have installed waves V9r15. Everytime I open Studio one I get an error message while it scanning the plug ins. I`ve tried to copy the shell2vst.exe to the vst folder but it dont work. How can I fixed this the error message from waves v9r15.

 

I'm not on a PC nor using Waves 9r15 release, but I can imagine
that you have some permissions issues (Zugriffsrechte in German)
as you cannot copy the shell2vst.exe to the vst folder.
As far as I know the cracked vstshell must be there.

You may look for a software to set your permissions right.

 

I hate do do so but rules are rules i guess..

So the only thing i can say at this place is. There is a .TXT file included in every release. In that .txt file you will find a workaround for your license issue. I guess in your case it will be the R2R.txt. It´s a combination of drag&drop the right wavesshell to that former named shell2vst.exe or simply a user dedicated error with applying the patch.
Both steps are well explained in that .txt file

i think R16 was the latest from R2R program files/commonfiles/vst3 folder copy to there thats probably your problem also where studio one Scans and not just the vst2 folder

 

Upgrade to Waves All Plugins Bundle v9r16 R2R and make sure to get the repacked Patch: Waves All Plugins Bundle v9r16 R2R.That should solve your problems

It is the wavesvstshell.dll:s that is the problem in waves folder you find a "new" folder that R2R has created it is explained in the latest R2R just delete those dll:s and you be fine
I know because i had the same problem BUT if you close the warning box Waves still works.
But that box is so annoying so it is better to find those dll:s
B.t.w i apply the patch 2 times first where i put my vst2 shells dir.
Where i transfer the vst shell using the much better "vstwrapperbuilder" to small vst2:s that i can put in my folder hierarchy
Then i apply it on the waves install dir just in case

Lao why are you using a version back are you on Mac? If you're on PC take Mykal's advice and upgrade and also make sure to read the nfos, they're there for a reason.

The cracking method for r16 is very similar to the r15. So reading the .txt stays the deal.
