    Specs:

    Monterey 12.5
    Apple m2

in short I tried installing rets release which is supposed to work for m1 chips. On a Mac with m2 chip.

it always fails around 90% even before starting the cracking process.

It did tell me I needed to boot in some safe mode and enable unrestricted apps/etc in utilities. Which I did. Then un installed and reinstalled still fails around 90%.

    Any feedback would help thnx.

No Mac Guy, but here a quote from User KananK7

    All Right, M1 / M2 Ventura Working ! (Ableton 11.2.7)

Follow these steps by Justin-Cydeher ( slightly modified by me )

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    01. Download this latest waves v14 release by RET.

    02. Extract and install waves central.

    03. Perform an offline installation (Locate install.cen)

    04. Intall whatever you want

    05. Replace "WavesLicenseEngine" in
    /Library/Application Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/

    06. Run sudo

sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

    07. Run waves keygen on a windows pc or with crossover on M1 macs.
Create license with exact Device Name and ID as shown in Waves Central Licenses tab!

    08. Drop the .WLE generated license file here:
    Library>Application Support>Waves>Licenses

    09. RESTART your mac FIRST

    10. Run waves au reg utility 14 and click let's go.

    11. Open your daw, write music !

    That easy !

    try this maybe...

Thnaks for this . Should be quite useful to people. However I’m stuck between #4 + #5. Meaning the installation fails before I can even start cracking

Man, I had so much trouble myself, last week trying to install. I had a certain version downloaded from the russian website and it didn't work. But the version from sister site did work after I followed these indications first:

"For everyone who have problems remove all older waves files you have installed

    1. Go to waves central and perform a complete waves cleanup (settings in WC)

2.delete all waves folders in following locations:

    Library>Application Support>Waves(unhidden)
Library>Audio>Plugins>WPAPI(sometimes this thing is left after uninstall)
    ~Library>Application Support>Waves Audio and Waves Central(hidden)
    Macintosh HD>Users>Shared>Waves

    Then these:

    1. Download this latest waves v14 release by RET.

    2. Extract and install waves central.

    3. Perform an offline installation by choosing plugins you like to install or install all online

    4. Replace WavesLicenseEngine.bundle in /Library/Application Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/

    5. Replace "index.js" in
    /Library/Application Support/Waves/COSMOS/HTML/

    6. Replace "app.asar" in
    /Applications/Waves/COSMOS/COSMOS.app/Contents/Resources/

    7. Open terminal and paste following commands:
    xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

    8. Run waves keygen on a windows pc or with crossover on M1 macs.

    9. Find your computer id on waves central licenses tab, enter exact id to keygen and generate license file.
You can also find ID on Library>Application Support>Waves>Licenses>LastAcceptableMACAddress

    10. Copy license file to Library>Application Support>Waves>Licenses

    11. RESTART your mac FIRST and run waves au reg utility 14 and click let's go, it will identify your plugins.

    12. Open your daw it will automatically scan plugins, if not rescan plugins manually.

In my case, it was the WPAPI, which I wasn't deleting, blocking from installing properly. Also, I installed it with the internet off and first I put the Waves Central through Permission Reset app and Batchmod, just to be sure.

For anyone that is still having issues I found a solution to mine. I tried following the included steps a million times. What I finally discovered is that when you copy the license engine file you'll notice it goes from looking like a terminal icon to just a white page. If you see this you have to run the following. I noticed this to be the case on a bunch of the installers included with these apps that don't work.

    Code:
    sudo chmod +x /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/WavesLicenseEngine

Thank you!!! After so much trial and error. This forum was so helpful. Make sure you properly do the code sign. Typing it incorrectly is what messed me up. Running Ventura M2, works on Logic, FL Studio and Pro Tools.

I have the same issue. Installation failed error before getting to the crack. Did you ever find a solution?

User Ludens found a fix - run waves central from terminal as root:
    sudo/Applications/Waves\ Central.app/Contents/MacOS/Waves\ Central

Hey guys sorry for late response. I have tried rets waves on two different m2 macs and the installation still fails before even starting the cracking process. I have also tired running waves as a root through terminal which also didn’t work.

again waves fails everything when installing and I haven’t even gotten to cracking it yet.

Hey guys, I've followed everything exactly right and all the plugins get validated but when I try to add them into logic it says:
"Failed to load Audio Unit “xxxx”, please contact the manufacturer for an updated version or further assistance."

    What am I missing here?

    Hey Guys, I'm stuck here

    4. Replace WavesLicenseEngine.bundle in /Library/Application Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/

Because I can't find this folder /WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ under Modules but just WavesLicenseEngine.bundle file as showed here

So can you please tell me how I have to proceed?

    Thank you so much

Right click or (option+click) the bundle file and do Show Package Contents. someone else will have to add to that if needed.

I got it my friend, thanks!

Only a doubt before trying to see if everything works...

Where can I find au reg utility 14? I mean I have in Waves Installation past version Folders (2.8Mb) and another one in Waves - 17.1.23/Data/V14/Mac/Shells (1,9Mb) but... I want to be sure to use the right one!

Good evening everybody, everything works many thanks!

Just a question: I didn't install V13 plugin included 'cause I read they could lead issues, is it correct?

In case I would try to install them I have to redo all the procedure from the beginning or just install them and run AU Reg Utility at the end?
