I have Waves V13 and on the instructions it says that after choosing which plugins I was I have to apply Patch (license engine), Removes waves local server by opening the terminal and typing the following

sudo rm -rf /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/WavesLocalServer (this one always works for me)

Then I have to restart and afterwards I have to run the AU Reg tool 12.0.0.87 Build R 215024

I have already installed some plugins, however have realised that I have forgotten to install others so my question is this...do I have to do all the terminal and AU reg stuff every single time I install a new plugin?

Use Codesigner, it is much faster than terminal and does not make typographical errors.

As for Waves, I stopped using them at V9/10. Haven't looked back once at that decision.

Ive been so frustrated trying to install V13 on M1 Monterey its not even funny. You seem to have gotten it to work!

 

Not only me but many, check waves v13 installation thread.

 

I've downloaded WAVES COMPLETE V14 FOR MAC from audiotools dot in, and I am having trouble understanding a similar steps in the installing process.
In the downloaded folder (WC14.25.10.22.MAC) I get the following:

1) Installler (folder) / Waves - 25.10.22 (folder) / install.cen (Icon)

/1- patch (folder) / WavesLicenseEngine.11.zip
2) Patch (Folder) <
/ 2- AU Reg Tool (folder) / Waves AU Reg Utility 12.0.0.87 Build R 215024.zip

The steps are the following:

0. Check System Requirments here : https://www.waves.com/support/tech-specs/system-requirements#plugins|version-14

1. Go to waves folder and Install and Update Waves Central and Run
2. Uninstall Previously Installed Plugins from Waves Central Settings
3. Fixed Permissions from Waves Central Settings
4. Select Offline Installer and Click Install from an Offline Installer
5. Browse the Waves folder you downloaded (Inside : 1 - Installer) (For Mac Users, move folder to "Users/yourname/public/")
6. Select the plugins you like and Install
7. Apply patch
8. Removes waves local server : (Run in terminal)
sudo rm -rf /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/WavesLocalServer
and
killall WavesLocalServer & rm -rf /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/WavesLocalServer
9. RESTART
10. Run AU Reg tool 12.0.0.87 Build R 215024 for AU
11. Enjoy

I get stocked from step 7 forward. I don't know how to apply the patch or how to use TERMINAL.

Can anyone help me, or guide me on how to complete these steps correctly?

I recommend you to use the RET's tool to activate.

after doing these steps, how do I get fl studio to find them ? in which folder do I tell it to scan them?
