HELLO,last version I followed your order, everything works perfect. Have question now: this time after installation, should we open waves v13 reg or open" v12 reg" to make the plugins scan ? is it all natively apple arm silicon patched this time?

    thanks a lot ,friend!

Ok let me clarify this again STEP by STEP.

1.if you have already installed waves go to central and perform a complete waves cleanup.

2.delete all waves folders in following locations (if available).

    Library>Application Support>Waves(unhidden)
Library>Audio>Plugins>WPAPI(sometimes this thing is left after uninstall)
    ~Libarary>Application Support>Waves Audio and Waves Central(hidden)
    Macintosh HD>Users>Shared>Waves

*Also make sure that all vst/vst3/au/aax waveshell plugins are removed.

3.download latest waves v13 release by ret.

    4.extract and install waves central.

5.perform an offline installation by choosing plugins you like to install.

    6.replace WavesLicenseEngine.bundle in Library>Application Support>Waves>Modules

7.open terminal and paste following commands,

    xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

8.run waves keygen on a windows pc or with crossover.

9.find your computer id on waves central licenses tab, enter exact id to keygen and generate license file.

    10.copy license file to Library>Application Support>Waves>Licenses

11.restart your mac first and run waves au reg utility and click let's go, it will identify your plugins.

12.open your daw it will automatically scan plugins, if not rescan plugins manually.

tested on macos monterey, logic pro 10.7 M1

open v13 utility if you installed v13 release. but my old utility was automatically removed after waves cleanup. if you follow new instructions there's no v12 utility.

v13 works natively on apple silicon.

there's still an issue that can happen with ret's v13 release. first time you load plugins it's quick and responsive. but after some time suddenly loading times were slow and laggy. this is due to "waveslocalserver.bundle" file. if you experience that issue you need to remove that file from following location.

    Library>Application Support>Waves>WavesLocalServer

this guide can be used for v12 also but it seems like you are using a release that's not properly patched. check your PM.

please explain the issue "cannot be opened" is not a fair detail. if you follow the instructions well no issues would happen.

By clean up do you mean delete all previous files regarding waves? I have an old version installed trying to upgrade to this...V13

Waves Complete Patched + R2R KeyGen Release

    Install Waves.
    Replace "WavesLicenseEngine.bundle" in
    /Library/Application Support/Waves/Modules/

    Run R2R KeyGen on Windows.
Input Device ID to the keygen.
You can find the Devices and their ID at Licenses tab in WavesCentral.
    Generate *.wle license.
    Copy *.wle license to

    [Computer License]
    /Library/Application Support/Waves/Licenses/

    [Removable Media License]
    (Device)/Waves/Licenses/

Thanks R2R for updating the keygen for RETSU!

they mean remove any files that were installed, including those which might not be uninstalled when using an "uninstaller" option.

    Hi!

At first I had a lot of problems with the installation but by following your steps my Logic finally detected Waves.

    I have a mac M1 - Monterey + Logic pro 10.7.1

I am facing a problem that has not been explained here.
When I open my Logic, there is an error on the AU analysis and when I enter Logic to scan my AUs again, I see next to the AUs (Waves), the mention "validation blocked" I don't know why you have an idea?

you mean validation failed? if it is try rescanning failed plugins in plugin manager.

    Yes, that's exactly it.

When I open Logic it gives me a message:
"You are using incompatible Audio Units. 606 of your active audio units have not passed apple AU validation..."

I finally succeeded, I scanned again after redoing the key through the keygen. And it worked!
Thanks a lot to you Big M for your availability and your quick answer.

What do you mean by that?
