Space Rider doesn't load in Reaper 7 Win 11
Clarity crashes Reaper

Followed ALL the R2R instructions, no go.

In fact both Space Rider and Clarity disappeared from the VST list. (They were there originally, but disappeared after rescan.

I even "saw" Clarity scan as a VST, but it doesn't show up in the VST list.

Anybody have direction, or "Clarity" (lol), on the situation? Surely someone has run into this!

I installed the exact same release and don’t have any problems with opening clarity or spacerider in cubase. Plugins are listed and don’t give me any crash.
But I had a similar problem with Kirchhoff eq, it crashed my daw soon as I opened it up. Installing a proper gpu driver fixed that for me. Maybe you should try that too.

Good luck on that. I hope you can get them out of your blacklist and try it again.

Yes, I did read that the GPU might be a factor. Will check that out.

I'm using Reaper. Both FX appeared initially, then disappeared. Haven't been able to make them reappear. There is no blacklist in Reaper, of which I know.

When it comes to reaper, unfortunately I can’t help you, I never used it. But there are a lot of reaper users on this forum. I hope someone‘s gonna chime in and deliver you with the solution.
Other than that you could of course uninstall the whole bundle, clean all traces and reinstall it.

If your Waves installation is very screwed up, then use Revo Uninstaller Pro to remove all of it and start over.

But your problem is just with these 2 plugins, so don't consider anything nearly that drastic yet. Unless you really need these two. I haven't used either ever, are they newly added to the bundle you use? A lot of the newest additions to Waves bundles are frequently not working correctly. And that is after Waves fix them. Every big update from them always has another update within a week or so, because of all the new bug reports they get.

In REAPER, there may not be a "blacklist"; but you have the option to "clear cache" when you rescan plugins. Try that. Disappearing plugins is some problem like this usually. https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=237599

Delete reaper-vstplugins.ini and reaper-vstplugins64.ini (or delete few lines related to your error waves plugin inside .ini file)
located in C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\REAPER
and then rescan

 

Here is the latest update on the sitch:

Updated Graphics Drivers
Updated Visual Redistributables
Did a Full Install, as opposed to just the VST3
Killed and restarted Waves background processes

NOW, everything shows up, AND STAYS showing in the FX list, but Clarity (all versions) just crash Reaper.

 

Another update:

With this full install of Waves (including) VST2, StudioRack showed up which made Space Rider available within it.

Made some adjustments to Reaper effects to run Clarity as a separate process and as a buggy fix and now all the Clarity VSTs load, but without GUI, just as Plain Jane controls (which is fine seeing as the Clarity modules only have one knob).

So, even though I updated the Nvidia GeForce Graphics, still for some reason only this one Waves Plugin won't load its graphics. Weird!

Any further suggestions appreciated!

It's about Acoustica DAW from Acon Digital and Clarity, but it's similar to your issue. A legit Waves customer had them check his install and system remotely and they blamed his cpu, not his gpu. Another user then loaded Clarity into Studio Rack also, and claims that fixed it.

I think I would try opening this plugin in Bluecat's Patchwork inside your DAW/wave editor and see what sort of thing that does. If I had audio in and out and working controls that would probably be where my interest would end.

Okay. Figured it out.
In the folder described here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V14\Clarity Vx
Pro.bundle\Contents\Webp.zip

there were two zip files (the other was JPEGs) that needed to be unzipped, for each of the Waves Clarity tools.
I unzipped them all, and did a total rescan of all VSTs and, finally, all the GUIs appeared!
