Just installed waves 2017.08.09. Now when I open a VSL 6 template, any waves plugins that were there are just replaced with studio rack, but obviously empy. When I remove waves from vst plugin folder, everything is normal again.

Anyway to just have a waves folder like before? Do I just need an older release? I remember having a waves version last year, and when I loaded vienna ensemble 5 it was literally a waves folder with every plugin inside of it.

Waves works normal in Cubase 8, windows 7 64x

You can delete the waves Studio Rack files if you don't use them.
There is also the option of not installing certain plugins if you have the full
Waves installation system in you versin.

I, personally use just the VST3 Waveshell by pointing the DAW to the default Waves VST3 folder.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Waves

If your DAW does not allow multiple VST locations but, loads both VST2 and VST3, try using just one or the other for both Waves
and Vienna Sessions.

SOLVED:

Deleted all WaveShell VST 9.7 vst, aax, vst3 files, now I'm given the Tray from before. Only realized this when I reinstalled Vienna 5 and saw all three options, the 3rd being the waves plugins. Weird how the 9.7 files blocked the other two.
