I cannot find any answer by googling. In FL Studio some waves plugins show up 2 times.
    For example :
    L1 limiter Stereo [64bit]
    L1 limiter Stereo [64bit]_2 [64bit]

Why is that ? Is a version 2 of the same plugin ? If yes what is the difference ?
Maybe they show up like this only in FL Studio ?

If anyone knows please inform me.
    Thanks

The _2 following [64 bit] means what everyone has been saying. Most likely you have the old shell and plugins from earlier versions. Open the plugin manager, click on the L1 Stereo Limiter and on the left side you will see where it is located at. Do the same with the other one. Best way to deal with WAVES is to uninstall it. And reinstall the latest version. You only need either the 64 bit vst2 or 64 bit vst3. No sense whatsoever in having both.

Thanks for replying. Never installed VST3. Probably something went wrong with previous installation of waves. If I am the only one with this problem most likely is my fault.
    Thanks everyone

There's no sense in having a lot of the Waves plugins installed. Just like the Airwindows "All" installation route. There is so much included stuff that you won't even use, varying from each user to another's needs. If you are going to do a "Waves clean sweep" and reinstall, check out how much free HDD space you've got after removing everything! I probably have about 20 or less installed that I use with regularity, and most users do as well. S1 stereo imager is still the favorite for me. Try installing everything you know you need and then going one by one after it; you'll see how much hd space they were consuming needlessly. The Melda Audio bundle is another one it's easy to just blanket install everything, albeit a much smaller commitment of space.

I just did created a fresh Offline Installer and installed the V12 Waves.
    It went smoothly.

In general when it comes to VST stuff getting scanned, I clean out certain folders.
That is because some installers do not ask and install (x86) .

With some it is easier to figure out , but Waves does not look easy at first...
    ...but it is pretty straight.

    - In "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\" I have the 3 VST3 'waveshells':
    (WaveShell1-VST 12.4_x64.vst3, WaveShell2-VST 12.0_x64.vst3 & WaveShell2-VST 12.1_x64.vst3)
    - In "C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\" I have 3 VST2 Waveshells:
    (WaveShell1-VST 12.4_x64.dll, WaveShell2-VST 12.0_x64.dll & WaveShell2-VST 12.1_x64.dll)

    - In "C:\Program Files\" I also have "Waves Central" folder.
    - In "C:\Program Files (x86)\" I have the "Waves" folder (with all the installed resources)
[if i had my choice i would not install that to (x86), because i am on x64]

Because i don't have anything of 32-bit I need, and to keep my scans "clean":
    - I do not even have a "C:\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins\" folder, because i deleted it (along with whatever was in it).
    - I do not have a "C:\Program Files (X86)\Common Files\VST3" for the same reason.

Some installer will no doubt recreate those folders I delete, but deleting them is just my way of making sure they do not get scanned by any program. (As a hobbyist I have a lot of DAWs installed, and don't want them all scanning unnecessary stuff).

FL Studio does not allow deleting certain scan paths, but i have done what i could via the registry.
I deleted the keys for the (x86) entries, so I only have 5 paths (3 for Fl internal, 1 for VST2, & 1 for VST3):
    - "%FLPath%\\Plugins\\Fruity\\Effects\\"
    - "%FLPath%\\Plugins\\Fruity\\Generators\\"
    - "C:\\64vst\\"
    - "C:\\Program Files\\VstPlugins\\"
    - "%FLPath%\\Plugins\\VST\\"
    - "C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\VST3\\"

Despite that (and deleting those mentioned folders) FL still lists :
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3" as a search path, and it can not be unchecked.
I am not sure why that is, but i just delete anything that gets into (x86) unless i know i want it.
So far i have nothing i need those for.

Yes that's what I do. I only use around 30 plugins from waves but the R2R installer doesn't allow to select what I need. So I just favorite what I need in FL Studio.

If you dont mind getting on line, just download and install only what you need using Waves Central, then authorize with r2r. If later on you wish to install something else, simply add in Waves Central and reauthorize.
