anybody succeeded to update a cracked version of waves to get the new silk vocal plug-in? I’ve tried to update from the RET version and even from the original waves central without success.

might just be a small thing I’m not thinking of, but I’d love to figure it out.

 

I did everything according to the instructions and it worked from V.R.
First I installed the central on top of the old version.
deleted all wave packets through the central
fixed permissions
installed offline
patch
reboot
all OK

 

Sounds to good to be true

What previous version did u have?

 

Nothing special with that plugin...

I am trying to help to avoid mess with installing it, in case that you already have working waves. (since obviously you have no experience in doing that)

I have made it working it but I don't like it.
If you wanna quality and full controllable VST for "SILK" vocal then Use Soothe instead...
Just stupid example...
As for me install it for yourself I have no benefit either way if you do or don't.
In nutshell you have 3 band dynamic eq, with minor amount of control , gate, and compressor...
Not worth breaking head about it...
But if you need to try it for yourself, so I wish you good luck after looking for solution to install it, and abandoned after much effort to make it just working

I'd love to have soothe! I think everyone does. That being said, guess you'll have to pay me a license then?

 

Soothe is already cracked, but seems like have been taken down from the sister site, most likely due to a copyright strike from the developer. You need to find another source. It is available on the Russian tracker...

 

he is talking about RET version so he is using mac os and you know about the ilok on mac so ...

Okay here is the replace more advanced and far better that this waves plugin you have it for win and mac TBProAudio DSEQ3

 

I would've asked for a substitute if i needed one, but that's not the deal. Let's try sticking to the topic. Soothe is cool etc etc. But it's not contributing anything to the main question.

It's not just for the plugin per se, but for cracking purposes as well + i already got and i already use DSEQ3. It's Good one, but i want to, and i'm going to, try the waves one for own comparison. Because that's what it all sums up to in the end.
